NH Marine Debris to Energy Project

A New Hampshire-based project to study marine debris at sea and on the shore, incorporating waste-to-energy and recycling as part of cleanup efforts.

Whale Watch Debris Reports

BOS has been collecting ocean debris from Whale Watch boats off the New England coasts for over 5 years. Since then the boats have collected over 9,723 pieces of trash. Whale Watch boats involved in the cleanups are:
  • Atlantic Queen (Rye, NH)
  • Granite State (Rye, NH)
  • Prince of Whales (Newburyport, MA)
  • Starfish (Hampton, NH)
This chart displays the number and types of debris collected for all the boats over the past 5 years. To get a breakdown of debris by year and boat go here!
